File Extensions
The File Extensions view allows you to associate a certain file type with an executable file included in your setup. This view cuts out a lot of the work in creating a new file association. Normally, you'd have to create a registry entry for each file extension. In InstallShield, it is much simpler. Add an extension, and rename it to the file extension you want to associate with an executable file. Select the executable, icon for the file type, and the command and arguments to run it. When your product is installed, the file association will be created.
See File Extensions for more information.
